Counting Down to Trieste Photo Days: URBAN photography at the Central Post Office
As we head toward Trieste Photo Days 2025, Poste Italiane is hosting URBAN Unveils the City and its Secrets (URBAN Svela la Città e i suoi Segreti) inside the magnificent Palazzo delle Poste Centrali in Trieste.
Timed to overlap with the Barcolana, the exhibition weaves together the city’s energy and the call of the sea, offering a compelling prelude to the festival atmosphere.

Organized in collaboration with Poste Italiane and the Postal and Telegraph Museum of Central Europe, the exhibition anticipates the Trieste Photo Days festival, scheduled for October 23–26, 2025.
About the exhibition
URBAN Unveils the City and its Secrets is a visual exploration of urban identity and its understated nuances. Featuring 115 photographs from the 16th edition of the URBAN Photo Awards, the show spans urban and street photography through varied perspectives and languages.
The images uncover hidden corners, sharp contrasts, and the poetry of everyday life—revealing the ingenuity, sensitivity, and artistic pulse that animate the city. Just as Poste Italiane accompanies people in their daily routines, the exhibition reflects the stories, gazes, and souls that inhabit our urban spaces.
Captured across metropolises and small towns worldwide, these photographs celebrate the richness and complexity of city life—preserved in the immediacy and power of photography.
