URBAN Photo Awards
I want to enter URBAN 2024. Am I still on time?
Yes, but hurry up! Submissions are open until Sunday, June 16th, 2024 23:59 CET.
Who will judge my works?
An international jury chaired by Harry Gruyaert. Jurors include photo industry professionals includin Adam Pretty, Paul Gadd, Denis Curti and many others.
Can I submit only 1 photo?
Sure! Photographers can participate with as many pictures as they want.
Can I submit a free-theme project?
Of course! We have a section dedicated to Projects&Portfolios, which includes sets of photos, series, reportages, storyboards. Maximum 12 photos for each project.
But I got a project with more than 80 pictures! What now?
You can nominate it for the URBAN Book Awards & Zine section. We accept both PDF and image sequences. Paul Gadd himself will choose and award the winning project, which we will publish as a print volume!
How do I know if I win URBAN?
There are all five stages of announcements for our main photography sections leading towards the final podium:
1) Selected Photographers (beginning of July)
2) Editors Choice (mid-July)
3) Finalists (end of July)
4) Winners Shortlist (mid-September)
5) Final Podium at the Trieste Photo Days Award Ceremony (Saturday October 26, 2024)

Will my URBAN photo be displayed?
All the Selected Photographers will be published in our Online Gallery! If you rank among the Winners Shortlist, you will be exhibited at Trieste Photo Days 2024. However, the Selected Photographers have the opportunity to participate in the special exhibitions and become part of our book URBAN Unveils the City and its Secrets – Volume 10.
What is Trieste Photo Days?
Trieste Photo Days – Festival of Urban Photography (24-27 October, Italy) is the event where we exhibit hundreds of URBAN photographers! We curate exhibitions with authors from all over the World in both city and regional venues, museums and exposition halls. Here are the most important events happening during the festival:
- URBAN 2024 Winners Exhibitions and Awards Ceremony
- Workshops and Masterclasses, Photography talks, bookfair, meeting and networking with photographers….and Italian dinners!
- Trieste Photo Fringe – A 3 month – to 1 year of URBAN Photo Expositions in the best and most visited city venues
- Photo Days Tour – An extensive exhibit circuit of in amazing locations outside the city of Trieste

Uploading photos and Payments
How do I submit my Photo entries?
1) Go to the URBAN Photo Awards user area at www.my.dotlogic.net
2) Upload your Single Photos, Portfolios, Books, Zines or Photo Arena (Under 35 only)
3) Add all Photo Data and save. Don’t forget to add your @Instagram and @Facebook accounts in your Personal Data! So we can tag and share your work!
4) Confirm and proceed with Payment
5) When the red band in your photo is gone, your payment is confirmed! (image below)
Can I pay with a Credit Card?
No, the only 2 payment methods at the moment are PayPal and Bank Transfer.
I forgot to pay via Bank Transfer, and it’s already Friday 14th! What should I do?
We understand that Bank Transfers can take 3-5 working days to clear. However, please don’t worry! We will accept any submission to the contest that was paid before the deadline of Sunday, 16th June, at 23:59 CET, regardless of when the transfer actually clears. As long as the payment is received by our deadline, we will consider your entry eligible for the contest.
