URBAN has extended its deadline to June 16, 2024, giving aspiring photographers more time to showcase their talent. The contest’s prize pool has seen an impressive increase, now totaling over €40,000. This substantial amount not only highlights the competition’s prestige but also provides significant incentives for participants. Unique handmade personalized trophies and medals, high-end photography gear, and exclusive exhibition opportunities are just a few of the rewards awaiting the winners. This growing prize pool underscores the contest’s commitment to recognizing and supporting photographic talent worldwide.
URBANs’ 2024 prize pool is bigger than ever, here are just some of the numbers for the First Ranked of each section:
- € 2,000 for the Winner of the Single Photos section

Renowned Jurors and Awards to Nurture Artistic Talent
Adding to the excitement, two new elite jurors have joined the panel, each bringing unique prizes designed to foster artistic growth. These jurors, renowned for their contributions to the field of arts and photography, add a new level of prestige to the contest. Their expertise will ensure that the winners are selected based on the highest standards of creativity and technical skill, while the prizes they introduce will provide winners with unparalleled opportunities to advance their careers.
- The first exceptional award is the “Special Prize for Artistic Sensitivity,” introduced by Venice Biennale artist Giorgio Celiberti.
This prestigious award will be given to only one outstanding photograph among thousands, chosen and presented by Celiberti himself. The winner will receive the handcrafted Celiberti Trophy, a valuable artifact that carries Celiberti’s legacy and prestige. Giorgio Celiberti will personally handcraft and present this unique trophy, making it a truly special honor from one artist to another.
- The second incredible reward is presented by Jerzy Gaweł, founder and headmaster of the Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design and School of Creative Photography (SKF).
The top-ranked photographer in URBAN Photo Arena will receive a six-month scholarship in English language at the School of Creative Photography. This prize aims to nurture young talent, providing an invaluable opportunity for growth in an international environment.
