“Icons of Architecture” special prize: Matrix4Design announces the TOP 10 finalists
The jury of the “Icons of Architecture” 2023 special prize, represented by Matrix4Design founder Andrea Boni, has selected the TOP 10 finalist and their photographs. “Icons of Architecture” is the 2023 development of the former “New Buildings” prize, the award born in 2020 as a successful collaboration between URBAN Photo Awards and the digital magazine of architecture and design Matrix4Design.
The competing authors have submitted all together more than 200 photographs within the “Spaces” category of the URBAN contest. The images depicted buildings created by the great names of international architecture, capturing their identity from a new point of view and providing an original interpretation as photography artists.
The TOP 10 finalist will be exhibited in Milan as part of an exhibition at the CRISTINA Brera showroom in October; the exhibition will be part of the calendar of the Milano Photofestival 2023.
The winning photo will be announced next month: it will be exhibited and awarded during the international festival of urban photography Trieste Photo Days festival (27-29 October 2023) in Sala Xenia, in the heart of Trieste.
