Italian Street Photography
What’s about Street Style?
Many definitions, a major way to describe it; Street Photography.
“We could say it’s street Photography even if there is not people in the picture . I could take a picture of a scubadiver underwater, but if I photograph him in a street style that photo is going to be in the ste mood.” So Alex Coghe wrote in one of his article on Photographers.it.
That’s why we can talk about Stree Aesthetic, and that is exactly the heart of the Italian Street Photography project: the italian way to the street aesthetic.
An exploration of the made in italy street aesthetic, not just as a fashion trend, but also as a way of living: different ways of dressing up, of behaving, of being together. Street sports, free running, skateboarding, bmx freestyle.
And also everything else that happens on the streets, from the typical italian celebration (such as traditional religious feast) to the fashion trends for boys and girls, the evolution of artistic movements such as “madonnari”, the tattoo, piercings and body modification’s trends, the cosplay word and many more.
That’s what they want to show you with a website, a book, an exhibit. In order to do so, they have chosen almost twenty contributors, authors and careful observers of the street life in Italy, who will also be protagonist in this event.
This all will be shown to you in a modern and visual way, through individual pictures or complete stories, to describe the history and the upcoming evolution of street style. All the contents will come from the contributors’ exclusive production.
