Laura Carlini Fanfogna
Art historian, since 2017 Director of the Museums and Libraries Service of the Municipality of Trieste, with expertise in the entire museum system and civic librarian.
From 2015 to 2016 Director of the Bologna Museums Institution including 13 civic museums.
From 2001 to 2015 she was responsible for the Museums and Cultural Heritage Service of the Institute of Cultural and Natural Artistic Heritage of the Emilia-Romagna Region, with the task of supervising and coordinating more than 500 museums.
From 1989 to 2001 she was a researcher responsible for projects in the cultural sector of Nomisma, a company of economic studies.
Alumna of the Getty Leadership Institute – Museum Management Institute, worked, among others, for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Cultural Heritage, the European Commission, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank Institute operating in Italy, Argentina, Egypt, Romania, United Kingdom, Serbia-Montenegro.
From 1983 to 1989 she was curator and coordinator of modern and contemporary art exhibitions in Italian and foreign museums (Austria, France, former Yugoslavia, Hungary).
From 2003 to 2015 she was also a contract professor of “Management of visual arts” at the University of Bologna, an international specialist degree course in Innovative Management of Cultural and Artistic Organizations (GIOCA).
