Maurizio Galimberti – Jury President
[Italy] Photographer and international artist, Galimberti is known for working almost exclusively with Polaroid, with whom he has developed a very personal manipulation technique in which composes and decomposes the image to form its mosaics. Celebrated his portraits involving gunmen celebrities, from Johnny Depp to Lady Gaga, from Robert De Niro to Umberto Veronesi. His portrait of Johnny Depp, realized during the edition of the Venice Film Festival of 2003, is chosen as the image for the cover of September’s prestigious Times Magazine. He worked for Milan football, Fiat Auto, Kerakoll, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Illycaffè, Nokia, Lancia. He was a member of the jury of the photo competition “Venice Movie Stars Photography Award” dedicated to images taken on the occasion of the Film Festival in Venice. In 1999 he was appointed to the top spot in the ranking of Italian photo-portraitists drafted by the magazine Class.
