Exhibition in Poreč Museum, Croatia, for 3 selected portfolios / Total prize value is now 10.000 €!

This year as well our main partner Zavičajni muzej Poreštine (Poreč Museum in Istria, Croatia) has confirmed a 1.000 € value prize for 3 ranked projects from the “Projects & Portfolios” section. The projects will be selected directly by museum director Elena Uljančić and the curators and displayed from July to September 2019 (tourist peak averaging 120,000 people in the summer time). Moreover, the Museum will release an official certificate of exhibition. Thanks to the Poreč Museum, the total prize value goes up to € 10,000!

Selected authors will also be awarded with a free 1 night stay in Trieste to attend URBAN’s Award Ceremony at Trieste Photo Days 2019 festival.

We also welcome in the jury to Laura Zalenga and Miloš Nejezchleb, who join Elena Uljančić, Tadashi Onishi, Rohit Vohra, Grzegorz Kosmala, Bob Patterson, Graziano Perotti, Fulvio Merlak, Agata Stoinska, Angelo Cucchetto, Nick Turpin and the president of the jury Martin Parr.

Last year the Museum has displayed Gentle Appearances In Tokyo Metropolis by Mitja Kobal (Slovenia), Stray Dog by Sevil Alkan (Turkey) and Urban Faces and Fragments by Paolo Maggi (Italy).

In 2017 the Museum has displayed “Nothing will stop us”, by Mexican photographer Silvia Andrade, “Nonna Angela” (“Grandma Angela”), by Italian photographer Christian Milotic and “A Transporting Experience: Senegal’s Colorful Public Buses Hit The Road” by American photographer Ricci Shryock.

In 2016 the Museum has displayed the projects “Kushti”, by Belgian photographer Alain Schroeder, “Cidade da Garoa”, by Italian Luca Meola and “Passage”, by Turkish Alphan Yilmazmaden.

Subscriptions to URBAN 2019 Photo Awards are open until May 31st, 2019.
