URBAN Photo Awards 2022: submissions closed, thank you everyone!

Submissions for URBAN Photo Awards 2022 are officially closed.

We take this opportunity to thank the 2,800 photographers from all over the world who have chosen to test themselves with our contest and wish them sincere good luck!

We are extremely satisfied with the success of this thirteenth edition, both in terms of the quality of the works and numbers: 10,000 photos in the competition (145 of which for the New Buildings special prize), almost 400 projects and over 100 books.

Our jury is already at work: the Selected Photographers will be published shortly and the Semifinalists will be published by mid-July. At the end of July it will be the turn of the Finalists and in mid-September the Shortlist will finally be announced.

As usual, each ranking will be in alphabetical order: we will reveal the final podium on Saturday 29 October 2022 at Trieste Photo Days festival, in north-eastern Italy. On that occasion, Susan Meiselas, Shobha and Nino Migliori will personally award the winners of the contest.

In addition to the winners exhibition, Trieste Photo Days will host various exhibit/previews with the best photos of URBAN 2022 (as part of Trieste Photo Fringe and Photo Days Tour). The contest catalog, Urban unveils the City and its Secrets – Vol. #08,will also be presented.
