URBAN Photo Awards 2022 Winners Shortlist

On the horizon we begin to glimpse the final podium of URBAN Photo Awards 2022!

Today we travel the last mile of this exciting journey: the 2022 Winners Shortlist. As usual, in strictly alphabetical order.

To find out who will be the first ranked for each category, the Honorable Mentions, the Best Author and the Winner Overall, see you at the URBAN Photo Awards Ceremony, Saturday 29 October 2022, at the Auditorium of the prestigious Museo Revoltella in Trieste, Italy, during Trieste Photo Days festival.

Super-guests Nino Migliori and Susan Meiselas will award, respectively, the Winner Overall of the Single Photos section and the winner of the URBAN Book Award.

The winner of the “New Buildings” Special Prize, born from the collaboration between URBAN Photo Awards and Matrix4Design and the winners of the Exhibition-Prize at the Poreč Museum (Croatia) will also be awarded.

Among the URBAN 2022 prizes there is also the prestigious exhibition at the Museo Sartorio in Trieste, up for grabs for the third year in a row by the Municipality of Trieste. The 4 projects that will be exhibited in the museum we be announce shortly.

Trieste Photo Days will also host dozens of exhibitions with the best photos of the competition: in addition to the essential exhibition of the winners at the Sala Xenia, we will in fact have a large group exhibition spread in a selected circuit of venues in the city center (Trieste Photo Fringe) and outside the city. A wide selection of the best ranked photos will make up the eighth volume Urban unveils the City and its secrets, currently in production, which will premiere at Trieste Photo Days before the awards ceremony.

Submissions to URBAN Photo Awards 2022 closed on June 17th, recording over 10,000 photos in the competition, almost 400 projects and 100 books, for over 2,800 participants from all over the world.
