URBAN Photo Awards, the category Projects & Portfolios

The Projects & Portfolios category of the URBAN Photo Awards 2023 international competition offers photographers the opportunity to submit a series of photos that share a common theme or element. This section of the competition is perfect for photographers who wish to showcase a complete photo project, a thematic portfolio, a photojournalism, a series of images that tell a story, or a storyboard.

Participants may submit a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 12 photos, either color or black-and-white. Post-processing and retouching are allowed at the author’s discretion, but photos with signatures, watermarks or markings visible on the image are not allowed. A brief description of the project in English is also required.

Projects can cover any aspect of urban life, from architecture to fashion, from people to streets, from city icons to nightlife. The jury will evaluate both the visual impact of the photos and the consistency and quality of the project.

This category is the perfect opportunity for photographers to explore a theme or idea in more depth, to tell a story through a sequence of images, or to show a complete portfolio. Both emerging and professional photographers are encouraged to participate, and each entrant can submit as many portfolios as they wish.
