URBAN 2022: Italian photography legend Nino Migliori in the super-commission of jurors

We are honored to host an authentic living legend of Italian photography in the “super-commission” of the jurors of URBAN Photo Awards 2022: Nino Migliori.

Born in Bologna in 1926, Nino Miglior has been a photographer for over 70 years: he is one of the most authoritative and multifaceted Italian researchers in the field of photography. His stylistic code has always oscillated between realism and experimentation. Over the course of his long career, he portraied a country that had just emerged from the war and turned his gaze to the urban landscape without ever abandoning the creative side. He frequented Peggy Guggenheim’s salon in Venice, won prestigious awards and exhibited in solo and group exhibitions all over the world. One of his most iconic works is “Il Tuffatore” (the Diver), which became a symbol of Italy in the 1950s.

Together with Susan Meiselas, Nino Migliori will be one of the main guests of the Trieste Photo Days 2022 festival, where he will personally award the winner of the Single Photos section during the award ceremony of the contest, Saturday 29 October 2022 in the Auditorium of the Revoltella Museum. Migliori will also be one of the protagonists of the project Mythography – Vol 02.
