Megacerus Small Creautures
At the beginning of my photographs series, were mostly of wild flowers very small dimensions, until today I still working in that, but suddenly in 2009 came the Megacerus, as a part of a research of the regional botanical garden Xiitbal neek that I become interesting in these little beetles commonly called weevils seed predators such as beans, which is often identified as pests, which offer a fascinating when viewed in detail. As seen through the scanning electron microscope may be surprised by their varied forms, voluptuous and mysterious. The purpose of my photographs is to share this invisible world of nature, so small world in size (the family Bruchidae Megacerus reach a length of between 3 and 5 mm) is not always available to our eye. It is an invitation to enjoy our gardens, parks, forests, and especially, botanical gardens, through scientific images to enjoy, appreciate, respect and love for nature In Mexico, there are hundreds of great researchers, microscopists and photographers doing interesting researches on everything that surrounds us and yet most images generated are published in scientific and rarely reach those great pictures our everyday world. So through photographic series, such as the Megacerus seed beetles can be also the voice of Mother Earth, is an invitation to look to the inward around us and find beauty in simple.
