This project has been realized in collaboration with an Italian ONLUS, Il Millepiedi (Varese), which is dedicated to develop skills within people affected by disability.
The title of the project is inspired by the name of the ONLUS which includes the word "Piedi" (feet in English), that is related to the importance of the footprints (meaning something concrete to build). From that concept, the 2 photographers decided to move their attention to another element that characterized the footprints, getting into the eyes: the visual impressions - "gli occhi".
Therefore the project is played around the eyes of the disable people by capturing their deep looks, all concentrated during their day-to-day activities. Their eyes are transformed into indelible footprints...curious, exciting, lost, smiling. At the end, "Dai Piedi agli Occhi" is the wish to get closer to disabled people and admire their behavior closely, almost from inside.
The project is dedicated to all the disable people of the Association.
Note: the title of each picture has been written by the disable person subject of the picture, while watching it.
