Mostafa: First Generation Refugee
Mostafa is a first generation Syrian refugee in Lebabnon. At the age of 15, he is today one of the many streetchildren of Beirut. The Syria conflict started five years ago and turned into civil war in 2012. Thats when Mostafa left his beautiful house in Damascus and entered Lebanon, following his parents together with his younger brother and sisters. Now they live all together in a 20 square meters apartment in Beirut. While his parents ask him to help the family selling pens in the street, they also let him live his adolescence. Like all the kids, Mostafa has dreams hobbies and likes trends. He is also eager to follow street children educational programs organized by NGOs operating in Beirut. Mostafa is living an uncertain present but he is looking with hope for a brighter future. To be a street child like Mostafa is not a choice of life. It is a consequence of the path of life. Hopefully only a moment of transition in a childs life.
