The Fashion Week in Milan is one of the most important events of the year. It attracts thousands of people, who wonder through the streets and turn the city upside down. This series of images is the result of a feeling grown in me, while I was covering the event for my photo agency, in september 2016. The series itself is a sincere and subjective critique of what is distant and unreachable. Elusive and vague, always at distance, protected. The glossy world which brags and shows off in front of everyone. And from everyone, it keeps its distances. And the world of those who follow it, in some way subservient, corrupted and dazzled by the ephemeral glitter of the beauty, of the fame, of the reputation. In such a background, those who normally are considered at the margins of this society, appear to be, to my eyes, the only genuine human beings, the ones who are truly free.
