In the twenty-fifth anniversary of regaining freedom, Ukraine is re-entangled in the war with Russia, divided into "pro-West" and "pro-East", disgustingly rich and simply poor, color-cluttered on television screens and corpses in reality. Hutsuls Country exists on the verge of the real and the magical, the real and the mythical. Hutsuls, due to the formation of their inhabited areas - inaccessible mountains, isolation, and consequently slower influence of civilization transformations - have, despite relatively frequent historical changes of state borders, kept (in this day) in their culture many such qualities and marks. In the harshness and simplicity of the everyday existence of Carpathian mountaineers, one can sometimes hear the old song. In turn, the richness, the richness and even the splendor of the Hutsuls cultural performances the core of the past, which is only superficially mingled with "ornaments" smuggled out from the Hutsul border. The exploration of contemporary Hutsuls culture is and will probably continue for some time to track down the Slavic arche, which discovers discreetly for the time being.
