Inez Baturo

Fotografa artistica, traduttrice, editore, editor. Nata nel 1966. Ora vive a Bielsko-Biala, Polonia. Laurea in Filologia Inglese (Universitá di Silesia, 1991). Co-fondatrice e Vice-Presidente della Foundation Centre for Photography (dal 2004). É tra gli organizzatori del FotoArtFestival, ci cui &eeacute; anche direttrice del programma. Co-proprietaria della casa editrice Baturo Publishing House dal 1991. Cofondatrice della Galleria della Fotografia B&B a Bielsko-Biala dal 1992.
Membro dell’Unione degli Artisti Fotografi Polacchi (ZPAF) dal 1999. Vice-Presidente della Divisione di Montagna dell’Unione degli Artisti Fotografi Polacchi (2004 – 2008). Membro del Forum dell’Agenzia Fotografica dal 2007.
Dal 2009 – membro della IRIS presso la Loughborough University School of Art and Design, la Gran Bretagna, un’organizzazione che promuove la fotografia mondiale da parte delle donne. Curatore della mostra “The Art of Seeing” (Galeria fotografii B&B, Bielsko-Biala, 2003) e del concorso internazionale e mostra “No Borders” (2005).
Le sue fotografie sono state pubblicate su “Playboy”, “Voyage”, “National Geographic”, “Podróze”, “FOTO”. É autrice dei libri:
“The Beskidy Mountains”, “The Beskids”, “Cieszyn”. Le sue immagini sono state pubblicate sui libri collettivi: “Polish Mountains”, “Bielsko-Biala”.
É stata inclusa nella pubblicazione “Masters of Polish Landscape” e sul prestigioso “A History of Women Photographers” di Naomi Rosenblum (Abbeville Press, New York, USA, 2010). Ha tradotto in polacco “Storia del Mondo della Fotografia” di Naomi Rosenblum (2005).
Si occupa principalmente di foto paesaggistica, ma ha anche fatto foto di bambini, teatro e moda. Si occupa anche di documentari.
