Ten photographs for ten masterpieces of recent urban architecture: Matrix4Design together with URBAN Photo Awards combines the original vision of photographers with the revolutionary creativity of architects on the occasion of the NEW BUILDINGS photo exhibition. Ten photographs tell the story of the new icons of urban architecture, an appointment not to be missed during Milano Design City, the event that aims to bring ideas and events back to the center of the Milanese autumn.
From 28 September to 10 October 2020, at Solferino LAB, the Milanese showroom of FIMA – Carlo Frattini, Megius and Scarabeo located in Via Solferino 36 in Milan, the NEW BUILDINGS exhibition will exhibit the works of the ten photographers who entered the final selection of the Award New Buildings, promoted in 2020 by Matrix4Design, a digital magazine of architecture and design, and by URBAN Photo Awards, the international photography competition based in Trieste, now in its eleventh edition.
The finalist images were selected by the editor of Matrix4Design Andrea Boni and by the photographer Federica Nardese on the basis of criteria that combine the formal care of the shot with the emotional power of the image: each photograph stands out from the others for its innovative visual research and to communicate in an original way the architectural identity of the building in the urban landscape that hosts it.
